Lugano Bike Stage 3 is a challenging mountain bike route that traverses the dramatic terrain around Monte Tamaro and the Val Colla region in Ticino. Riders start in Rivera and can take the aerial cableway up Monte Tamaro to conserve energy before descending into forests on single trails and unpaved roads. The route winds through the rolling hills of Malcantone, passing through typical Swiss alpine scenery with dense forests and panoramic mountain views. A highlight is the optional ascent to Monte Lema, which offers spectacular vistas across the region. The stage combines technical single trails with forest roads, delivering a diverse and rewarding ride through one of Switzerland's most attractive mountain biking areas.
